Our Specialty Reinsurance team writes a broad range of reinsurance interests from marine and aviation to energy, specie and fine art, nuclear, personal accident, contingency, satellite, war and terrorism on both a proportional and non-proportional treaty basis.

We have the capability to structure specialised reinsurance programmes for a diverse international client base ranging from small domestic mono-line insurers to multinational insurance companies. We technically rate and assess every risk we underwrite.

Based in London, a distribution centre of the specialty reinsurance world, we travel extensively to meet business producers and their customers and discuss their reinsurance requirements with full understanding of local market practices, trends, economic and commercial developments, thereby offering domestic solutions with an international perspective.

Our products include:

Marine and Energy

We provide cover on both a risk and event basis for hull, cargo and marine liability (including Protection and Indemnity) exposures on a global basis. We also reinsure offshore energy portfolios. We can provide class specific or multi-class combined protection for all such marine risks.

Aviation

We offer cover for all sectors of the worldwide aviation market from light aircraft through to widebody jets. We also cover manufacturers, airports and workshops, all on an excess of loss or proportional basis.

Satellite

We can provide treaty or facultative capacity for all types of satellite risk including launch, commissioning, in-orbit and specialised space liability.

Crop

Cover is provided for a wide range of US, Canadian and European clients for multi-peril and crop hail risks.

Specie and Fine Art

We underwrite aspects of precious and valuable items on a worldwide reinsurance basis. This includes cash, fine art, bullion, precious metals/stones, and jewellery. Cover is based on all risks of physical loss or damage, but is tailored as appropriate.

Nuclear

Physical damage and liability on nuclear sites is offered through a combination of insurance pool participation and reinsurance treaties.

Personal accident

We provide reinsurance protection to accident and health insurance entities in the event of major natural catastrophes, terrorism incidents or man-made disasters such as high profile air collisions.

Contingency

We offer cover for the cancellation of events due to circumstances outside of the organisers' control, including terrorism and natural perils.

War and Terrorism

We offer cover for property, ships and aircraft against war and associated perils on a worldwide basis for physical loss or damage.
